GPX Cleaner

My Garmin nuvi 3590 creates a track of my travels which are stored in GPX files. In reality, GPX is an XML file and can be imported into Google My Maps for a convenient display. However:

• Dates are in GMT,
• There's extra unused 'course' info,
• Data points are one second apart,
• Some route segments are duplicated in more than one GPX file,
• The route is split among a dozen files or more.

We need data reduction. Lots of reduction.

Settings

1. Start date = 2018-06-04
2. End date = 2018-06-28
3. Min time between points = 60 seconds
4. Input files (4) = gpx/7.gpx, gpx/8.gpx, gpx/9.gpx, gpx/10.gpx,
5. Output file = gpx/2024-04-24-0151-garmin.gpx
